Because of the diversity in home ownership opportunities in the Upper Arkansas Valley,
building costs vary, depending on size, style and location. Building costs shown
here do not include property costs, nor (in the case of manufactured homes) do they
include site work such as pad, foundation, etc., which average $30,000 +-.
Land prices in The Valley depend on location and amenities. The more desirous
locations, heavily wooded are obviously more expensive than the less desirable
locations. Raw land can be found with attractive views for as low as $3,000/acre
up to more exclusive properties which can range as high as $40,000/acre.
